™ and ©2001 Wizards of the Coast

One of a slew of comics based on the granddaddy of all role-playing games, In the Shadow of Dragons is set in the Dungeons and Dragons realm of Greyhawk, which is being terrorized by three powerful dragons. They have set their fiery sights on the city of Rel Astra, demanding a strange and mysterious ransom—the remains of one of the dragon’s fathers. If their demands are not met, the city and its inhabitants will die by fire. Four heroes rise up to seek what the dragons want, even as they look for a way to defeat the beasts and keep their city safe. Gifre the apprentice wizard, Evina, the swordswoman, Lucien the paladin, and bounty hunter Kiernan Ornarus make new friends and new enemies on their quest. But then, that’s what D&D is all about, whether it’s played out on a table or in a comic book. RPG fans will enjoy this effort by writer Jay Donovan and penciller Tyler Walpole.
