Tales of the Ninja Warriors

Tales of the Ninja Warriors was a black-and-white anthology series featuring action-oriented stories about deadly warriors, although it should be noted in fairness, not all were Ninjas. Each issue contained four or five ongoing tales of varying quality from a variety of little-known artists and writers.

A good example of the kind of story that one might find in Tales of the Ninja Warriors is the serial story, “Kabuki Kid.” A young man dresses up in a Japanese-influenced costume in an attempt to keep his identity a secret from his archenemy, Taka, a vicious mob boss. Other stories in the anthology include space adventure “Parallax: The Third Wave,” cybernetic swordsman “Blackangel,” and the straightforward crime/Ninja adventure “Flint.”
