Nightcat
(Marvel, 1991)
™ and © Marvel Characters, Inc.
Late eighties “singing sensation” and RCA recording artist Jacqueline Tavarez becomes the heroine Nightcat in this prestige format Marvel comic scripted by Stan Lee.
After being injected with a cat serum by Dr. Ecstasy, Tavarez uses her newfound abilities to avenge the death of her policeman father, while balancing a career as a singer. The comic is as cliched and forgettable as her “hit” songs “House Rule,” “Don’t Change,” and “I’ve Finally Found Someone.”
