Mention the name “Eliot Ness” and most people immediately think of the Untouchables. That’s certainly understandable, after all, the saga of the war the Untouchables had with the mob is perhaps the best-known true crime drama of the 20th century. However, Ness’ career didn’t end with the arrest of Al Capone; in fact, his most challenging and horrifying case came afterwards in Cleveland circa 1935.
