Mention the name “Eliot Ness” and most people immediately think of the Untouchables. That’s certainly understandable, after all, the saga of the war the Untouchables had with the mob is perhaps the best-known true crime drama of the 20th century. However, Ness’ career didn’t end with the arrest of Al Capone; in fact, his most challenging and horrifying case came afterwards in Cleveland circa 1935. Headless torsos and other dismembered body parts began washing up in a concentrated area of Lake Erie sound. Most of the victims were transients or derelicts living in shantytowns. This story is a stylish recounting of one of the most fascinating, and forgotten, chapters in American crime history. Eliot Ness is about to experience something beyond his wildest dreams or his worst nightmares. A disconcerting chill moves down the spine when one realizes that the story is based on actual events. This series is intended for mature readers.
