When last the world saw him in Tomb of Dracula #70, Dracula had been run through the heart with a silver spoke from Quincy Harker’s wheelchair. Then, a bomb planted in the wheelchair went off, killing both of the old enemies. At last, it seemed, the curse of Dracula had ended.

Not so, it seems. A researcher named Gregor had become obsessed with Dracula and sought out the members of the old vampire-hunting team. That trail led him to Frank Drake, a descendent of Dracula who was instrumental in killing him. Drake had since married and attempted to put his past behind him, but now a series of dreams and visions had sent his wife over the edge of insanity. That’s when Gregor then appeared and took her to Transylvania in order to find the remains of Dracula. Frank followed in desperate pursuit. But the time Frank caught up to Gregor, he had found the vampire and removed the spoke from his heart. The nightmare named Dracula lived again!
