Breach

You’re Major Tim Adams—good military record, loving wife, adoring son—and you’ve got a problem: while you were observing the official launch of Otherside, a top secret military project that will give the United States the technology to breach dimensional barriers, something went horribly wrong, and rather than creating a machine that could rip holes in reality, the project recreated you as Breach. You have the ability to rend the very fabric of time and space, and you’ve become the most powerful weapon the American government could ever hope for. Will you be a pawn, or will you break from the organization that has been your life and provided you with the opportunities for your greatest achievements?

The plot of the first issue certainly seems to riff on Captain Atom’s origin just a bit, but writer Bob Harras’s (The Avengers) innovative use of jumps in time keeps readers on their toes and gives what could be a very clichéd story a fresh spin.
