Set in Victorian London, Springheeled Jack is the story of Jack Rackham, a friend of one Henry Jekyll and a man who witnessed the horrific kidnapping of his beloved wife by a hideous, otherworldly creature. The police are baffled, and Rackham struggles daily with the guilt that stems from being unable to save his wife. So, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Inspired by the Wright Brothers, he builds an elaborate set of bat-wings that allow him to glide over the city, and this apparatus will help him find his wife and end the crime wave of the kidnapper.

An excellent Victorian noir, not to be missed by fans of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
