Chris Eliopoulos was formerly known best as the letterer for The Savage Dragon. That may change now that he’s created his own, rather funny comic, Desperate Times. Using an uncluttered, cartoony style, he tells the story of a group of slackers, politically correct “PC Police,” and other assorted oddballs as they deal with life, love, and daytime television. Some of the funniest gags come from the covers themselves, which gleefully mock sexist sales techniques and other over-the-top comic book stereotypes.
