Wow, it’s like, so cool! A comic book that the average teenager can really get excited about! Star Jam combines the aspects of a teen fan magazine with traditional comic book storytelling to present the real-life adventures of today’s most popular teen idols.

Of course, the most popular show out there is Beverly Hills, 90210, and the stars of that hit are some of the most talked about (and dreamed about) young kids in America. So it seemed a pretty logical place to start. Star Jam will reveal the secrets of how stars like Luke Perry, Jason Priestly, and Shannen Doherty got into acting and made it to the top. Readers will get to witness their early struggles to stardom, including the auditions that landed them at West Beverly High.

The fanzine format started with issue #3, which was also the first mass publication of the title.
