Melding medieval Japanese settings and Wildstorm-eque art, Raff Ienco’s Gensaga is the story of a young samurai’s battle with evil in both his and our worlds. Can he trust the masterful warrior Threshold and the lovely Daisi? Will he help or hinder the struggle to overthrow the dark Lord Abyss? How is disgraced basketball star Jordan Phillips involved?

While not a Wildstorm title, Gensaga takes a definite bow to the Jim Lee style of art with larger-than-life heroes, lovelier-than-life heroines and extravagant villains evil enough to evoke the four-color comic strips of the 1940s. Raff Ienco’s Gensaga is a nice compliment to early Stormwatch or Gen 13 issues.
