Professor Gail Walker and her archeology class were diving off the coast of Thessaly when they discovered a clay jar with some intriguing pictographs. Deciphering it as the legendary Pandora’s Box, the source of all “misfortunes of men,” the skies darken and a terrible storm erupts while a boat full of modern-day pirates board the ship right on cue. Although the pirates were actually looking for a different boat transporting diamonds from South Africa, that becomes a moot point when the storm shipwrecks all of them on a mysterious island not on any map known to Man. Suddenly, the motley group must defend themselves against Cyclops, sea serpents, and the snake-haired Medusa. Archeologists and pirates alike are compelled to form an uneasy alliance to return Pandora’s Box to the gods and survive their unexpected sabbatical on Mount Olympus.

Dramatically illustrated by Butch Guice from a script by Goeff Johns and Kris Grimminger, this graphic novel evokes the memory of a movie with visual effects by Ray Harryhausen.
