Wolverine: Killing
(Marvel, 1993)
™ and ©1993 Marvel Entertainment Group
In this 1993 graphic novel, Wolverine finds himself called by dreams to travel to the far-off land of Tibet. There a secret community intends to use him to pass his mutant healing factor into the community’s bloodline. Although the community considers him no more than a beast, they it is their only chance for survival.
Survival. For it they would use the blood of a stranger, sacrifice the life of one of their own, and employ magic and mind control to stop anyone from standing in the way of their plan. Wolverine’s adamantium claws and nearly unstoppable animal rage make him the fiercest of the X-Men. But in order for him to survive here, he would have to heed the advice of a mysterious vision which showed him that the beast within him must be tamed.
And there must be more to his life than killing.
