God’s Smuggler

    (Spire, 1972)
™ and ©1972 Spire Christian Comics, published by Fleming H. Revell Company

From the days of his youth, Brother Andrew’s life was one of defiance; he opposed the Nazis when they invaded his hometown in Holland; later, he joined the Queen’s army and fought in Indonesia. Sadly, crippling injury landed him in the hospital and in a state of despair …until a beautiful, young nurse introduced him to God. Brother Andrew’s life gained purpose again as he decided to take supplies to the refugee camps of West Berlin, and later his mission became the smuggling of bibles into Communist countries, where Christianity was suppressed. This true story is adapted into comic book form for Spire Christian Comics by writer/artist Al Hartley (Archie Comics) from a book of the same name.
