Gross Point
(DC, 1997-1998)
™ and ©1997 DC Comics, Inc.
The Pickett family, Howard, Charmaine and their two teenage children, Brian and Terri, arrive in Gross Point where Howard is to start a new job. He hopes this move will mean a fresh start and a chance for his family to become part of the community. But the parts that make up this community don’t seem to fit all that well. There’s the house shaped like a giant duck, a lighthouse that shines all night even though it’s nowhere near water, and the mall with stores like, “What’s That Smell?,” “Enigma Farms,” and “Socks Aplenty.”
The jokes are derived from the conspicuous normalcy of this family in a town that appears to be inhabited by escapees from the Addams Family.
