Clonezone Special

Clonezone is an intergalactic comedic celebrity who is picked to be the Master of Ceremonies for the annual, Back-Pimple telethon. It’s a star-studded event that lasts forty-eight continuous hours—all to raise funds for research into a cure for that most heartbreaking of ailments. Among the guests slated to appear are Judah Maccabee (“The Hammer of God”), aging comedian Ribeye (whose jokes are old enough draw pensions), and the McJaggerz, the hottest (and most obnoxious) band in the galaxy. The real star of the show is the obnoxious reptilian comedian Clonezone, who manages to offend virtually everyone during the course of the telethon.

Dark Horse Comics and First Comics teamed up to publish this “Clonezone Special” in 1989. The black and white, one-shot story was written by Mike Baron (Badger, Nexus),with illustrations by Neil Vokes.
