In the earlier days of Archie Comics, up until about the early 90s, there were pages devoted to various crosswords, seek-a-words, and mazes in the comics. These weren’t compiled over the years into the various digests that Archie produced, so this was remedied by creating a digest solely devoted to the subject. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a big draw, so eventually reprinted story material was added. Ultimately, the puzzles and games were phased out, as was this title, as the powers that be at Archie realized that the draw was always the stories all along, but you can’t knock them for trying.
