Polaris Spanner is one of the most wanted men in the galaxy—and he doesn’t even know why. His story began his father took him to the market on the planet Festi of Vega. While his father bargained, Polaris tried to buy a pie, only to have it swiped by a street urchin named Andromeda Jones. Polaris ran after, and eventually caught up with the little thief, and even agreed to share with her when he discovered how hungry she was. When he returned to his father’s side, however, his father was about to come to blows over a shek, a weapon he had bought, but which two Kaborian knights insisted belonged to a fallen comrade.

This was Polaris’ introduction to the old knights of the galaxy. In time, Polaris joined them, and was taught the ways of combat, as well as “castling” where you can switch places with another person in space. Polaris used his skills to become a hero, but they also made him a target for those who desired his skills.
