Swords of Texas

Spinning out of the world of Scout, writer-artist Timothy Truman’s futuristic Western, Swords of Texas is the story of a rough-and-tumble mercenary group that takes the fight deep into Communist-controlled Mexico in an effort to gain money, guns, and a little bit of vengeance. Banner, Jade, and their cohorts are tough-as-nails, and while readers may root for them, they are not necessarily the best examples of right and righteousness; they do what they do for profit and make no bones about it.

This four-issue mini-series is the work of writer Chuck Dixon (Nightwing, Birds of Prey) and artist Ben Dunn (Ninja High School), and it’s a thrill-a-minute.
