Hulk Versus Thing

    (Marvel, 1999)
™ and © Marvel Characters, Inc.

Few rivalries in comics have the longevity and fan appeal of the Hulk vs. the Thing. One a tortured monster with the mind of a child, the other a tortured man trapped in the body of a brute. Their epic clashes have been around for almost as long as Marvel Comics itself, and this one-shot “megazine” reprints four of their classic old battles. These tales stretch all the way back to the earliest history of the Fantastic Four (issues #25, #26, and #112), and also include a reprint from Marvel Feature (#12). In each, the two go head-to-head, for various reasons, with the outcome usually in doubt. What the Hulk has in sheer power, the Thing makes up for in wit and craftiness.

Featuring a new cover and art by such classic talents as Jack Kirby, John Buscema, and Jim Starlin, action fans will get the gist of this rivalry within a few pages.
