Lunar Tunes

Fondly remembered for his horror, sci-fi, and humor work on E.C. titles such as Tales from the Crypt, Weird Science, and Mad, as well as his super-hero work on T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents and All-Star Comics, artist extraordinaire Wally Wood was also a significant figure in the Underground Comix movement. This black-and-white trade paperback collects all of Wally Wood’s Lunar Tunes—a humor strip that incorporates elements of science fiction and, well, Wood’s penchant for, um, naughtiness. Here, spaceman Bucky and his pals Myron, Pip, Nudine, and Snorky journey through the cosmos and encounter such luminaries as John F. Kennedy, the Rolling Stones, the Playboy bunnies, and even Wood himself. There’s more than enough fun to go around in this groovy comic book album.
