He’s a thief, he hates tourists, and he’s the victim of an urban legend come true. He’s Sammy, and after drinking the water in Acapulco he gets something far worse than Montezuma’s Revenge; he passes out and wakes up alone in a strange hotel room, in his underwear and in a bathtub full of ice!

Those who know the legend know what happens next, but will still want to pick this up to find out for themselves. Azad puts together a quirky little tale that’s got a little Indiana Jones, a little Twilight Zone, and a lot of fun. And a lot of intrigue, too; before he woke up as a human popsicle, he was already trying to stay one step ahead of the law while simultaneously attempting to avoid getting double-crossed by his client.

Azad’s artistic style is similar to that of many European artists; clean and detailed with a hint of manga, perfectly suited to this tale of misadventure. And it’s a misadventure that, like the serials that inspired Indiana Jones, will make readers of this issue eagerly anticipate the next.
