The story of the Green Hornet began when the son of a wealthy publisher decided to put a dent in the protection rackets operating during the Great Depression. He was joined in this venture by Kato, a scientist friend he had rescued from oppressive political conditions in the Orient. Armed with a gun that fires sleeping gas cartridges, he fights criminals while refusing to sink to their level of violence.

Over the years, four different people have donned the mask of the Green Hornet, and five have acted as his partner Kato. This series explores the lives of all of them.
