Marvels Comics: Thor

    (Marvel, 2000)
™ and ©2000 Marvel Characters, Inc.

Marvel’s version of the Norse god Thor is given a high-tech makeover in this one-shot, among several titles that would’ve been published in the Marvel Universe if it was real. In this interpretation, Thor is not a god; instead, he is merely a super-hero identity created by Owen Jolson, a man who acquired powerful extraterrestrial technology when he found the remains of an alien ship and its otherworldly passengers. When he became injured, his son Don inherited the role and the high-tech hammer Mjolnir. As in regular Marvel continuity, Thor’s brother—named Leonard instead of Loki—is jealous of his sibling and tries to kill him.
