Marvel’s experiment with teen romance, released under the Epic imprint, received much controversy for showing what might be Spider-Man’s Uncle Ben and Aunt May in sexual situations. Although promoted as a romance book, it’s actually a teen sex comedy. Teenage brothers Richie and Ben decide to work at a vacation resort in the Hamptons during the summer. There they meet the free-wheeling May and her friend Mary and fall in lust. The shock value of seeing Ben and May in bed repelled critics and longtime fans, but it achieved massive publicity from mainstream media.
