When XB-022 disappears from its test dive off Antarctica, the last place Dr. Pandora Bergquist thought it and the pilot Krill Stromer would end up would be on the other side of the planet in the Arctic Ocean. What’s left of the mysterious bathysphere is rescued by the crew of the United Nations research ship, Polyphemus. What ever happened beneath the waves changed Krill Stromer in ways she is only just beginning to comprehend.

Giant creatures from beneath the sea threaten the mission and the ship. Meanwhile, Kronos has human agents on board and elsewhere that will stop at nothing to retrieve every bit of the 022 as well as her pilot for their own dark purposes.
