Unknown to Sam Sogg of the planet Klutzoid, the convoluted and arcane machinations of cosmic beings, (Marvel’s thinly disguised Lords of Order and Chaos), caused him to be exiled from his solar system and deposited in Japan on Earth. Since he is 100 feet tall, Sam decided to become a super-hero for the earthlings. His first attempt at heroism was somewhat inept and since the Japanese people thought he looked like Ultraman, Ultra Klutz was born.

What began as a parody of Japanese monster movies during the heady days of the black and white boom on the mid-1980s, evolved into a complex interplanetary soap opera that lasted 31 issues. Creator Jeff Nicholson, satirized Captain Marvel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Green Lantern, and just about every aspect of the comic landscape of the 1980s.
