Tomb Raider/Witchblade

This comic presented the first pairing of two very hot entertainment properties: Top Cow’s popular Sara Pezzini, wielder of the Witchblade; and Eidos Interactive’s Lara Croft, star of several Tomb Raider computer games. Michael Turner of Witchblade and Fathom fame performs the writing and penciling duties.

When a demonic monster crashes through several New York apartments pursued by a pistol-wielding Englishwoman, Sara Pezzini is the cop on the scene. Lara tells her a story of monsters, curses, and a shattered talisman. With any other cop this might result in quick incarceration, but Sara has some experience with the supernatural. Good thing, because it’s going to take both of them to stop the demons and end the curse.
