This 1987 mini-series tells the story of Dr. Stephen Beckley, a man blessed by strange powers and hunted by a secret espionage organization known as The Bridge. Those entanglements have already cost the life of his wife, Ann. His son, meanwhile, has been kidnapped by The Bridge and is being used as an unwilling guinea pig in torturous experiments.

Only Stephen Beckley—Comet Man—has so far evaded their grasp. Using energies and powers he doesn’t yet understand, he must stop The Bridge before they can enact their cataclysmic master plan—a plan that stretches into space itself to involve a humanoid race from another world.

Bill Mumy, an actor in television’s Lost in Space, wrote this six-issue mini-series.
