The Savage Dragon wakes up in a hospital room after being found in a vacant lot—he remembers everything except who he is and where he came from. Meanwhile, the city is dying, its few super-heroes decimated by powerful mutants who find their skills more profitably useful in the world of crime. As much as the city needs him in its fight against crime, Savage Dragon can’t commit himself—until his only friend’s cousin, who had given him a job, dies at the hands of extortionists. The bad guys have made one mistake they’re sure to regret for a long time.
