In 1989, a year or so after the conclusion of the original series, Mister X returned in this second series. Mister X had been the architect of Radiant City, whose dream it had been to use architecture to influence moods and behavior. He had envisioned a paradise, but instead wound up with a neurotic urban hell. Undaunted, he set out to put it all right.

Volume 2 of Mister X continues the weird art-deco feel that made Mister X famous. Oddly captivating, Mister X manages to stand out even in the “anything goes” world of black-and-white comics.
