The Disney characters have been extraordinarily popular over the years and by 1955, Walt Disney parlayed this success to an original theme park called Disneyland. To capitalize on the new theme park’s opening, a Dell Giant was created especially for the event featuring new stories about the park and starring Disney’s biggest animated star up to that point, Donald Duck. The success of this book led to other Dell Giants such as Uncle Scrooge in Disneyland.
