Prophet/Chapel: Super Soldiers

This limited series teams up two Rob Liefeld creations: Prophet, the son of a minister who was turned into a supersoldier by Nazi scientists, and Chapel, a ghoulish-looking killing machine. Of the two, Prophet is the more noble character, fighting for what is good and just, while Chapel simply seems to enjoy his violent work. Here, the two pursue Hayakama, “a black-hearted sinner” who is manufacturing nerve gas inside his ninja-guarded fortress. This is over-the-top and obvious stuff from writer Robert Loren Fleming (Thriller), and artists Mark Pajarillo (JLA) and Dietrich Smith (Spider-Man Team-Up).
