Warstrike first appeared in Mantra #1. A soldier for hire, he had been recruited by Boneyard to help tip the balance against Archimage’s men. In fact, it was Warstrike who killed Lukasz, sending him into the body of Mantra. Warstrike, however, is nothing if not smart. So, when he later encountered Lukasz in Mantra’s female body, he both recognized her and decided to help her.
As this series begins, Warstrike (a.k.a. Brandon Tark) is once again plying his trade as a super-powered mercenary. He has the ability to quickly heal from any wound and is almost unbelievably skilled with weapons. However his true power is his intelligence, allowing him to outthink his opponents as well as outfight them. This, along with a little help from trusted friends Shelby and Giz makes the equal of just about any challenge.
