Aria Blanc & Noir
(Image, 1999)
™ and ©1999 Brian Haberlin and Brian Holguin
Brian Holguin’s story and Jay Anacleto’s art combine to weave the ever-expanding story of Aria. The art was so good that reader demand begged for the original pencil art to be published and Image agreed.
In modern New York City, Kildare leads a fairly normal life with her shop of bizarre and mysterious odds and ends. People of all sorts come to her for help. What they don’t realize is that she has been around for a very long time—since the earth was young. Through Lady Kildare we learn that magic does still exist. As an entity, it gets together for a party now and then with various other entities who happen to be passing by. And sometimes, in the past as well as the present, evil projects its ugly fangs.
