A magical and delightful interpretation of the Brothers Grimm fairytale, “The Swan Prince,” Park Young Ha begins this new tale with a beautiful girl who finds herself lost in a forest, who meets a handsome, young stranger with the wing of a swan for an arm. Along the way, the girl loses her memory, and cannot even remember her name. So, she asks her companion, the one-armed prince, to rename her. He names her Bambi, and the instant her names her, Bambi feels that she has found a part of herself again, and discovers a deep-seeded love for the winged-prince as well. Set in a classical age of Korean history, Bambi must ultimately choose between newly-found love and a long-standing family hatred.
