Set in ancient Egypt, the legend of the vampire known as Purgatori begins in similar style to other, more familiar vampires such as Dracula. Sexual and sensual in its presentation, some believe that Purgatori actually became Dracula in later incarnations, while others believe that Purgatori was a completely independent vampire. In this version, the writer claims a retelling of one legend with a unique spin. Ultimately, the results are the same with lots of fang and bloodsucking action in a refreshing spin on a well-worn tale.
