UNDERSEA Agent

UNDERSEA Agent was designed as a sister title to Tower Comics’ THUNDER Agents. UNDERSEA was a particularly tortured acronym that stood for United Nations Department of Experiment and Research SystEms at Atlantis. This was a group of scientists who operated out of a secret underwater base and was charged with peaceful exploration of the oceans. Although there were supposedly a who squad of agents, the only ones who seemed to see any action were Lt. Jones, kid sidekick Skooby, and the beautiful Renata Del Mar. Jones gained electrical super-powers in issue #2 when he was zapped by an electric eel while touching an atomic generator.

Of course, there were any number of villains who wanted to abuse the deep for their own ends. These included perennial villain Dr. Fang, and the obligatory secret organization of would-be world conquerors known as T.H.E.M. (The Host of Evil Motives).
