Following on the heels of Deadpool: The Circle Chase, the wisecracking mercenary Deadpool is destined for a showdown with old enemy Black Tom Cassidy. When last seen, Black Tom was an unwilling guest at an ultra-security prison. There, he was undergoing brutal treatments for a wooden viral infection that was slowly choking off his entire body. Inevitably, Black Tom’s partner, the unstoppable Juggernaut, busted down the doors of the prison and made off with both Black Tom and his doctor.

As soon as he was free, Black Tom sent his men to kill Wade Wilson (Deadpool) who had foiled him in The Circle Chase. Not too surprisingly, even a squad of highly armed assassins proved no match for Deadpool. Then, joining forces with Banshee and Siryn of the X-Men (members of the respectable side of Black Tom’s family), it was time to settle scores once and for all.
