DC First: Flash/Superman

™ and ©2002 DC Comics

This new story presents the first race between Superman and the Flash…the original Flash, Jay Garrick, that is. Abra Kadabra, a villain whose 64th-century technology seems like magic to lowly 21st-century folks, has caused the current Flash, Wally West, as well as dozens of innocent civilians, to age decades in mere moments. With Wally’s life literally passing before their eyes, Supes and Jay are forced to play Kadabra’s twisted game, and run a race that may kill them to win!

Though this one-shot stands alone as a self-contained story, it also progresses the continuity of the ongoing Flash series. An interlude with another member of the Flash’s Rogues Gallery, the Pied Piper, leads into the “Crossfire” story-arc that begins in issue #184.
