Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge (Walt Disney’s…)

    (Gemstone, 2005)
™ and ©2005 Disney Enterprises, inc.

Not to be confused with similarly titled reprint annuals from Gold Key, this Gemstone book is a real gem as it contains was turned out to be the last Disney duck story that Carl Barks wrote before his death in 2000. In an accompanying story that explains the genesis of this story, it explains that Barks wrote this as a one-page synopsis and offered preliminary sketches that are printed here for the first time. The resulting 28-page story by John Lustig and Pat Block lovingly creates the tale from these concepts. The issue is rounded out with a classic Barks reprint and is a must for any Barks fan.
