The Amazing Spider-Man (Public Service Series)

    (Marvel, 1990, 1993)
™ and ©1992 Marvel Characters, Inc.

Originally distributed only in Canada, this public service series took Spider-Man north of the border. Spider-Man thwarts Electro’s efforts to smuggle drugs into Winnipeg, foils the Chameleon’s plans to swipe a valuable scientific secret, brings a drunk driver to justice, and defeats the Frightful Four, a set of super-villains that want to kidnap a Nobel prize-winning scientist.

Even with all that, there’s a serious side to this four-part series. Interspersed with the action are lessons about drug abuse, bicycle safety, and honesty.
