Consumers, beware, it’s Corporate Ninja! He slices! He dices! He markets merchandise!

Blue Fish Incorporated is having a hard time reaching female customers, a demographic that seems mystifying to the company’s board members. They fail to woo the fairer sex (an outdated term that the company would find cutting-edge) with such ineffectual promotions as changing the color of the packaging. For marketing inspiration, they don fishnet stockings and tight jeans, but it’s to no avail, as women continue flocking to the competing brand of fish. Enter Corporate Ninja.

This comic book parodies the corporate world, but it’s more of a broad-based farce than a true satire. For every inspired concept, such as a literal corporate pirate and an all-knowing memo, there are lots of more obvious, more over-the-top scenarios, including bodies that are hacked limb from limb and an angry shopper who wields a mop like a sword. The story isn’t much, but there’s plenty of comedy to enjoy.

Mocarski’s art evokes (but doesn’t copy) Mad veteran Don Martin.
