Joe R. Lansdale is one of the most popular horror writers. This six issue series adapts some of his favorite short stories into comic book format for the first time. For example is the first story which from which the series takes its title, By Bizarre Hands.

The stories begin with a tale about young man’s mentally retarded sister’s murder in a gruesome fashion, by “bizarre hands” on a Halloween night. Years later, the young man has grown into a traveling preacher with a passion for preaching the Word, especially to young retarded girls on Halloween. But he may not be as altruistic as he seems when his insistent demands to take the girl out into the woods causes conflict with the suspicious mother…

An excellent black and white series for mature readers.
