Marvel Must Haves: Spider-Man/Black Cat: The Evil that Men Do

™ and © Marvel Characters, Inc.

Writer Kevin Smith (best-known for successful movies like “Clerks” and runs on Daredevil and Green Arrow) and artist Terry Dodson (best-known for drawing beautiful women) teamed up on this series, publishing three issues that ended with a shocking cliffhanger…and then didn’t finish it. A couple of years later, they finally found the time in their busy schedules to wrap it up, long after most who bought the original issues could even remember what happened. It made sense, then, to collect those three comics here, in which a mutant killer with the power to give people drug overdoses with his mind meets up with Felicia Hardy—the Black Cat—and Spider-Man. Can the pair work together, or will their past come between them?

The collection also includes a brief preview of the fourth issue of the series. Smith’s snappy dialogue and Dodson’s gorgeous art make it worth the wait.
