Mad About the Fifties

™ and ©1997 William M. Gaines, Agent

Mad magazine started in 1952 and became a cultural phenomenon that has lasted over 55 years. In the 1990s, paperback compilations appeared focusing on the best material of a particular decade: in this case, the 1950s. Since Mad was a color comic book from 1952-1955, there is a considerable amount of color pages reprinting the most memorable classics from those years such as “Superduperman” and “Starchie” in a high-gloss format. Virtually everything Mad produced in the 1950s could do no wrong, so read this and enjoy the crème de la crème of Mad.
