Amra (Vol. 2)

    (George H. Scithers, 1959-1982)

Amra is named after Conan the Cimmerian, who called himself by that name whilst he was a very successful and blood-thirsty pirate. Conan was a hero whose exploits of swordplay against divers sorcerers were chronicled by Robert E. Howard. Amra is about various heros, mostly of swordplay-&-sorcery stories set in fantasy worlds. Amra was started as the organ of the Hyborian Legion, a group of Conan admirers who met annually at the World Science Fiction Convention; Legion membership was open to all interested parties who showed up.
