Marvel/Top Cow Crossovers
(Image, 2005)
™ and © Marvel Characters, Inc. and Top Cow
Bored with trying to corrupt the heroes of the Marvel universe, Mephisto tries to corrupt the heroes of the Top Cow universe, prompting Wolverine, Elektra, Silver Surfer, and Ghost Rider to team up with Cyblade, Ballistic, Witchblade, and Weapon Zero.
The art is phenomenal; readers should expect no less from Top Cow’s bullpen. This showcases Michael Turner’s early work, and it looks great. He draws a great Elektra.
On the other hand, the story is convoluted and hard to follow; it feels as if there’s no transition from one chapter to the next; the fact that so many people were writing it didn’t help matters. It also collects two stand-alone crossover one-shots, Wolverine/Witchblade (where they get married) and Hulk/Darkness (drawn by Dale Keown, who drew both characters).
