Okey-Dokey

This anthology features several creators. The standout is the work of Marcelino Aquino Balao III. His contribution is right on the money and very professional. The rest of the art: not so much. (It’s just a matter of time before Balao is picked up by one of the larger comic-book companies.)

The stories are ambitious and combine philosophy with science fiction and some comic-book standards. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t come together. The entire piece smacked of a group of artists being way too “arty” for their own good. And why call it Okey-Dokey? The creators put a lot of work on the interior, and the title seems like a throwaway.
