Warrior

Despite its relatively short run, Warrior was one of the most distinguished and influential British comic magazines of all time. It began by reviving the long-forgotten Marvelman (“Miracleman” in the U.S.). The new version from Alan Moore turned a two-dimensional character from the 1950s into a complex and compelling super-hero for the modern age. Alan Moore also gave Warrior V for Vendetta, a haunting tale starring a mysterious figure who set out to topple the totalitarian Britain of the near future.

Other features included the continuing adventures of Axel Pressbutton and Laser Eraser; Father Shandor, Demon Stalker; The Spiral Path, and more. All told, Warrior was a great collection of the best in British comics.
